Richmond, Virginia may not be the top destination point for accomplished outdoor climbers, but Peak Experiences sees some of the best climbers in the country scaling its walls.  Peak’s 40+ foot lead walls have been host to major climbing events since 1993, and held the USCCA Youth Nationals competition in 2003.  With a professional routesetting staff and an excellent youth team that trains year round on its walls, Peak Experiences is a powerhouse facility on the east coast.

    

Designed by renowned routesetter Mike Pont, Peak Experiences has a large dedicated bouldering area, and roped terrain ranging from tall slabs to incredibly steep overhangs over twenty feet from the ground.  The gym has an extensive retail shop, an enormous second floor mezzanine for parties and groups, and a great professional staff.  Additionally, Peak Experiences takes young climbers from indoors to the outside with Passages Adventure Camp, a well-established leadership and team-building program that has been voted best day camp in Richmond.
